Portrait of Craig Rumble during a trail run near Colerne

Hi, I’m Craig and I started Love The Run Coaching to help runners like you get the help and support they deserve on their running journey.

I’ve been passionate about running since I laced up my trainers and ran my first mile. At the outset, I simply enjoyed seeing an improvement in my general fitness. Ineviatably I caught the ‘running bug’ and discovered the personal challenge and fun that racing presents. I enjoyed seeing whether I could better myself with each performance and this piqued my interest in training theory.

After joining my local running club, I quickly realised that I wanted to become more involved with supporting others in their running. I’m a UKA Licensed Athletics Coach and hold a Coach in Running Fitness (CiRF) certification. I regularly lead club sessions for Corsham Running Club in Wiltshire and serve as part of the coaching team there. I’ve also worked with the wonderful Couch to 5K beginners groups and have an appreciation for working with runners at all levels from beginners to veterans.

My running journey started on road, however over the years I have discovered that my real passion lies in trail running. I have extensive experience, and have competed in distances from 5K through to 100 Mile Ultra Marathons with several podium finishes. Most of my personal training takes place around the beautiful Cotswold countryside here in Wiltshire spanning from Corsham to Bath, Chippenham, Melksham and beyond.

I love all things running and I’m a bit of a self-professed ‘running geek’ if you will. I like to keep up to date with the latest training science and theory and I’m keen to share what I learn with my athletes. I firmly believe that all coaching should be athlete lead. The coaching plans I offer are designed specifically for you and only you. Together, we will decide the best solution for you around your individual circumstances taking into account your running experience, the time you have available to train and your specific goals and outcomes.

If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you.
